2021 Poker Masters
The Poker Masters returned to a live venue in 2021, and the 2021 Poker Masters featured 12 events from September 7-19, 2021. The series was held at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. The series was made up of nine no-limit hold'em tournaments, two pot-limit Omaha tournaments, and one 8-game mixed tournament. This year marked the beginning of the PokerGO Tour (PGT), and Poker Masters officially became part of the PGT in 2021.
Australian sensation Michael Addamo crushed 2021 and he crushed the 2021 Poker Masters. Addamo's series point total more than doubled that of anyone else. He won two events, the final two events of the series, for $1,840,000 total. First, Addamo won Event #11: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $680,000. Then, he won Event #12: $100,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $1,160,000. All told, Addamo racked up 808 series leaderboard points and was the only player to win multiple events. The next closest competitor on the leaderboard was Nick Petrangelo with 402 points.
