The PGT Championship is the PokerGO Tour's season-ending event. The 2024 PGT Championship will be held at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the event will be livestreamed on PokerGO.com. The date for the 2024 PGT Championship will be announced later in the season.
For 2024, the PGT Championship features a $1,000,000 prize pool with a $500,000 first-place prize. The PGT puts up the prize pool to create a total freeroll for the players. Entry is open to the top 40 eligible players, ranked by the PGT leaderboard at the end of the season, and ten (10) Dream Seat™ winners. Eligibility requirements for the Top 40 are three (3) cashes in PGT events during the current season.
How to Win a Dream Seat™
There will be three ways to win a Dream Seat into the 2024 PGT Championship, and they are outlined below:
- PGT Last Chance - The final series in the 2024 PGT season will see the return of PGT Last Chance. The top three highest-ranked players on the PGT Last Chance leaderboard who do not qualify in the Top 40 on the PGT leaderboard will earn a Dream Seat into the 2024 PGT Championship and begin the tournament with 125 big blinds. New for 2024 will see a select number of Dream Passes available for a select number of players who fall short of a Dream Seat. In 2023, Samuel Laskowitz and Dylan DeStefano each earned Dream Seat at PGT Last Chance, with Laskowitz finishing in seventh place and DeStefano finishing in 41st place. Once ARIA Resort & Casino approves the tournament series, more information will be posted.
- RunGood Poker Series Dream Seat Invitational - Ring winners from the 2024 RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) season are invited to compete in the first-ever RunGood PokerSeries Dream Seat Invitational that will be held in late 2024. Main event winners from RunGood Poker Series events earn an automatic $300 entry into the RGPS Dream Seat Invitational. Ring winners from non-main event tournaments can buy in for $300. The PGT is adding a Dream Seat to the prize pool, which will be awarded to the RGPS Dream Seat Invitational winner, who will begin the PGT Championship with 100 big blinds.
