The PGT $1,000,000 Championship is the PokerGO Tour's season-ending event. The 2025 PGT Championship will be held at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the event will be livestreamed on PokerGO.com. The date for the 2025 PGT Championship will be announced later in the season.

For 2025, the PGT $1,000,000 Championship features a $1,000,000 prize pool with a $500,000 first-place prize. The PGT puts up the prize pool to create a total freeroll for the players. Entry is open to the top 40 eligible players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard at the end of the regular season and exclusive Dream Seat™ winners.

Eligibility requirements for players to finish in the top 40 of the PGT leaderboard are:

  1. Players must have three (3) cashes in PGT events during the current season
  2. Players must opt-in to participate in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship prior to the final series of the season

How to Win a Dream Seat™

There will be five (5) ways to win a Dream Seat into the 2025 PGT $1,000,000 Championship, and they are outlined below:

  • PGT Last Chance: The final series in the 2025 PGT season will see the return of PGT Last Chance series. The top five highest-ranked players on the PGT Last Chance leaderboard who do not qualify in the top 40 on the PGT leaderboard will earn a Dream Seat into the 2025 PGT $1,000,000 Championship and begin the tournament with 125 big blinds. In 2023, Samuel Laskowitz and Dylan DeStefano each earned a Dream Seat at PGT Last Chance. In 2024, Shannon Shorr, Brandon Wilson, and Martin Zamani earned a Dream Seat from the PGT Last Chance leaderboard.

  • RunGood Poker Series Dream Seat Invitational: Ring winners from the 2025 RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) season are invited to compete in the $300 buy-in RunGood PokerSeries Dream Seat Invitational that will be held in late 2025. RGPS main event winners earn an automatic $300 entry into the RGPS Dream Seat Invitational. Ring winners from non-main event RGPS ring tournaments can buy into the RGPS Dream Seat Invitational for $300. The PGT adds a Dream Seat to the RGPS Dream Seat Invitational prize pool that will be awarded to the winner of the RGPS Dream Seat Invitational.   • Champions Club Championship: Players can earn points in tournaments at Champions Club Texas and qualify for the Champions Club Championship held in December 2025. Players will be ranked on Champions Club leaderboards throughout the year, with 40 players advancing to play in the Champions Club Championship. Those 40 players will have starting stacks based on points accrued throughout 2025, and every player will be guaranteed a cash prize. The winner of the Champions Club Championship will be crowned the 2025 Champions Club Texas Player of the Year and receive a custom trophy. The PGT is adding a Dream Seat to the prize pool, awarded to the 2025 Champions Club Texas Player of the Year. This player will begin the PGT $1,000,000 Championship with 100 big blinds.   • PokerGO Annual Subscriber Sweepstakes: If you are an annual (or VIP) subscriber to PokerGO, you will be eligible to win a Dream Seat. What is the PGT Championship?

The PGT $1,000,000 Championship is the season-ending poker tournament for the PGT. Players must qualify by being ranked in the top 40 of the PGT leaderboard at the end of the regular season, satisfying eligibility requirements of three in-season cashes and opting in. Players can also qualify as Dream Seat winners through various PokerGO and PGT-affiliated promotions.

Unique to the PGT Championship, starting stacks in the event are based on players' PGT leaderboard position following the season's conclusion. PGT leaderboard position is determined by PGT points earned throughout the season. All players, including Dream Seat winners, will start with at least 100 big blinds.

The 2022 PGT season saw Jason Koon defeat Sean Winter to be crowned the PGT Championship winner and recipient of the $500,000 first-place prize. Stephen Chidwick topped the 2022 PGT leaderboard and was crowned the 2022 PGT Player of the Year. The 2023 PGT season saw Daniel Smiljkovic defeat Arden Cho to be crowned the PGT Championship winner and recipient of the $500,000 first-place prize. Isaac Haxton topped the 2023 PGT leaderboard and was crowned the 2023 PGT Player of the Year. The 2024 PGT season saw Jeremy Ausmus crowned the 2024 PGT Player of the Year, and he then followed that by defeating Nick Schulman to win the $500,000 first-place prize in the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.
