The 2017 Major League Gaming season of Call of Duty World League kicks off at the Atlanta Open February 10-12. The competition features the top 16 international teams in eSports in pool play and an Open Bracket for any eligible team. There’s a $200,000 prize pool with the first place team banking $80,000.
The competition features two streams running over the three days – the Alpha stream hosts the Main Stage matches while the Bravo Stream broadcasts Open Bracket and Featured matches between notable teams.
The MLG Atlanta Open is the first of four feature events on the World League Tour. Next up is CWL Paris February 17-19, then the CWL Sydeny Open 1 on March 3-5 and the CWL Dallas on March 17-19.
Teams scheduled for Pool Play include FaZe Clan, Team EnVyUs, Cloud9, OpTic Gaming, Splyce and Orbit. Team EnVyUs won the 2016 CODWL season going 3-0 with 12 total Map Wins.
The first rounds of Pool Play begins Friday at 2 pm ET with 90-minute matches and the final pairings start at 9:30 pm.
