The $10,000 Heads Up Championship returned for Day 2 with 32 players remaining and after a few hours of one-on-one battles, the field is finally down to the Elite Eight. The day opened with sixteen match-ups to get into the money and while some big names fell through the day’s opening two rounds, including former WSOP Main Event champions Joe Cada and Joe McKeehen, last year’s WSOP Player of the Year Jason Mercier and High Roller for One Drop podium finisher Dario Sammartino, others advanced to the quarterfinals.
That upcoming round will likely be the most grueling of the day and the entire field is now on the PokerGO bubble. Tomorrow’s semi-finals and championship match will be live streamed in their entirety, starting at 3:30 PM PT and regardless of how each of these Elite Eight match-ups play out, tomorrow should be a star-studded stream.
The $10,000 Heads Up Championship quarterfinal match-ups are listed below:
Olivier Busquet vs. Ryan Riess
Jack Duong vs. John Smith
Adrian Mateos vs. Ryan Hughes
Ryan Fee vs. Charlie Carrel
Poker Central will preview the $10,000 Heads Up Championship Final Four before play begins tomorrow and the Final Four will be live streamed exclusively on PokerGO.
