A little over two weeks ago cards hit the air for the first of four qualifying events in the cross-promotional event between PokerStars and the World Poker Tour. The MonteDam Swing joined PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo and WPT Amsterdam into a competition for players competing in both events. Andreas Klatt came out of nowhere and crushed the race with 215 points and won the PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event package valued at €7,500.
Klatt crushed the competition with 230 points when Louis Salter and Paul Gresel are tied for second at the moment with 40 points. Klatt won the PokerStars National Championship Monte Carlo for $164,935 and followed that up a few days later with finishing runner-up in Championship Main Event for $438,660. Klatt’s previous largest cash was $31,901 in an Aussie Millions side event.
At the time of publication, Klatt and Louis Slater were still in the WPT Amsterdam Main Event. They both locked up a cash when the field hit the money early in play on Day 3. Salter will move ahead of Gresel once he has a finishing position and will lock up second place outright.
Soulier won the tiebreaker with Omar Lakhdari as he cashed for a higher amount in the qualifying events. Soulier finsished in 55th place in PSCMC Main Event for $13,156 and 17th in WPT Amsterdam for $10,459. Lakhdari cashed in 112th place in the PSC National Championship for $2,504 and 26th place in WPT Amsterdam for $5,183.
Paul Gresel cashed in 80th place in the PSCMC Main Event for $10,390 and finished in 18th place in WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam for $4,887.

The MonteDam Swing consisted of four events: the PS National Championship, PS Monte Carlo Main Event, WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam and WPT Amsterdam Main Event.
The top qualifying five players earn the following:
1st place: PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event package worth €7,500.
2nd place: WPT Main Event* package worth €6,000.
3rd place: WPTDeepStacks* package worth €3,000.
4th place: PokerStars National Championship Barcelona Buy-in €1,100 + Barcelona hotel voucher €500.
5th place: WPTDeepStacks* Buy-in €1,500.
