PokerGO WSOP Podcast: Off the Rails On Day 1d of the Main Event
Bad beats are everywhere in poker. Avoiding them is a skill, but sometimes, even the world’s best players can’t escape an ice-cold deck. From set over set encounters, to #deathbyquads, and some High Roller wreckage, bad beats kept popping up in 2017.
Throughout the year, PokerGO featured some of the world’s biggest events and during the Super High Roller Bowl, World Series of Poker, and Poker After Dark, some beats were bad and some beats were worse. Unlike the previous PokerGO Best of 2017 features, Best of 2017: Bad Beats is one video players don’t want to be a part of.
Two of the year’s worst beats came from the beginning and end of the World Series of Poker Main Event. Vanessa Selbst saw her 2017 Main Event end almost immediately after Day 1C began, when she ran into Gaelle Baumann’s quads, and Scott Blumstein tripped John Hesp after he made a storied run to the final table.
Subscribe now to relive the year’s best bad beats and stay tuned to PokerGO for more Best of 2017 features throughout the rest of the week.
