Have you noticed a common theme through most of the Heads Up with Remko podcasts?
If you answered, “He’s talked to a lot of players that are competing in the Super High Roller Bowl.” you would be correct! Remko Rinkema has been sitting down with the poker world’s biggest names and to get you ready before the Super High Roller Bowl, spend the rest of your week Heads Up with Remko.
Last week, Remko sat down with the World Series of Poker’s all-time bracelet leader and Phil Hellmuth made it clear he has no interest in slowing down. At the beginning of the month, Holz joined the podcast to talk everything from his past life as a high-stakes grinder to his current life as CEO of Primed Mind.
In April, Remko welcomed two online poker legends to the pod. Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky talked about battling the best in the world at the highest stakes and Isaac Haxton, pictured below, touched on a wide range of topics, including poker in Macau, traveling and the High Roller world.
Remko also had Brian Rast join the podcast last month and the 2015 Super High Roller Bowl champion talked openly about Las Vegas cash games, Bobby’s Room and how he’s managed to improve his game over the last few months.
March Madness wasn’t just reserved for college basketball, as the Heads Up with Remko podcast had conversations with five of the biggest names in poker. Hedge fund manager Bill Perkins opened the month, with Poker Central Ambassador Tom Marchese continuing the madness when he talked everything High Rollers.
Dan Colman and Jason Mercier ended the month with rundowns of their entire careers, including how they each became some of the most feared players on the planet. Speaking of most feared players on the planet, Bryn Kenney joined the pod at the start of March, after his tremendous run at the PokerStars Championship Bahamas series. Kenney as absolutely crushed since and could be the betting favorite heading into this year’s Super High Roller Bowl.
Igor Kurganov joined the pod in February and talked about the Super High Roller landscape and the different approaches that make him a successful poker player. Doug Polk, pictured above, touched on similar topics earlier in the month, while also talking about becoming the King of the Hill in the world of heads up online No Limit.
Last year ended with Dan Smith running a hugely successful charity drive and Smith joined Remko at the start of the year, to discuss his philanthropic efforts and the inner-workings of the High Roller world in the second episode of Heads Up with Remko. The series opened with one of the biggest personalities and best players to ever play the game, Daniel Negreanu. “Kid Poker” talked about celebrities in the game, playing in Bobby’s Room and his legacy.
