With six players remaining in the action-packed U.S. Poker Open Event #4 – $10,000 Short Deck, David Peters holds the chip lead. The tournament attracted 42 entrants to the PokerGO Studio outside the ARIA Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip Saturday evening.
Once play concluded at 11:45 pm PST, the official money bubble had burst with Jerry Robinson going out in seventh place. Everyone left in the field can sleep well tonight knowing they are guaranteed at least $25,200. But the ultimate goal for each of these players is to claim the first place prize of $151,200 and, of course, secure a much needed 200 series points.
Watch the final table live and exclusively on PokerGO starting at 5 p.m. EST or follow along with the coverage on PokerCentral.com.
Both Stephen Chidwick, the defending US Poker Open champion, and Sean Winter were playing to bust open a big series lead as we approach the midway point. They are each guaranteed yet another cash.
Winter entered with 240 points, tied with Jordan Cristos for second place behind Chidwick’s 300. Winter is the only player in the series to have now cashed in all four events.

At 11:30 pm PST, nine hours into Day 1, Joelle Parenteau was eliminated in eighth place by Ben Yu. She moved her entire stack of 300,000 chips in the center with and got a call by Yu’s only to see the board run out , giving her opponent trips and a winning hand.
