The U.S. Poker Open has only just wrapped up, but the high stakes action on PokerGO never stops! Poker After Dark continues with two thrilling nights of action on Thursday the 15th and Friday the 16th, with a lineup centered around Matt Berkey.
Matt Berkey was first featured on PokerGO when his documentary series “Dead Money” made its debut in May of 2017. The eight-episode series covered Berkey’s journey through personal struggle and both poker success and failure on his way to making the final table of the 2016 Super High Roller Bowl.
This month it was announced that “Dead Money” has been honored with an American Poker Awards nomination in the category “Media Content.” The American Poker Awards take place at the Andaz hotel in Hollywood on Thursday, February 22nd.
In a seven-handed No Limit Hold’em cash game, Berkey and his six opponents will fork up the minimum buy-in of $50,000 and play with $200/$400 blinds and a $500 big blind ante.
Making his Poker After Dark debut is Stanley Choi, a legendary name from Macau’s bustling poker scene. Choi made big waves back in August of 2012, taking down one of the biggest super high roller tournaments ever hosted, winning the event at StarWorld Casino for the equivalent of $6.4 million. Choi defeated a field of 73 entries, and a final table that included Sam Trickett and Phil Ivey.

The familiarity with each other’s game this week might be higher than usual, as Jean-Robert Bellande, Dr. Sean Dempsey and Bob Bright faced off during “Reality Check” in January of this year.
