During the 2017 World Series of Poker Main Event we spoke to one of poker’s well-known poker coaches Jared Tendler, and he sat down with us to talk about the mental game of poker.
Tendler started out as a mental coach for professional golfers, moving to poker after learning about the game and its intricacies through meeting Dusty Schmidt, an avid golfer and even more successful poker player.
Over the years Tendler has coached many poker players, most notably Jorryt van Hoof during this 2014 WSOP Main Event run that culminated in a third place finish. With Tendler we dive back into that experience, and how writing books about his experience have helped him become a better coach.
