Last night, Poker After Dark returned to PokerGO with the first of three “Holidays with Hellmuth” episodes. Headliner Phil Hellmuth dressed as Santa Claus, played the role of “Poker Brat,” and gave fans tons to talk about during his Poker After Dark return.
Tonight, Hellmuth returns to PokerGO with another holiday-themed episode and a $100/$200 No Limit Hold’em cash game. The 14-time bracelet winner is surrounded by a few familiar faces, along with a few players that will make their Poker After Dark debuts tonight.
After extending his Poker After Dark record for most 6th place finishes, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow was supposed to return for a second-straight night, but some health problems will keep him from creating more memorable moments. There are plenty of those inside PokerGO’s THE VAULT, but some Poker After Dark debutants will hope to create their own memorable moments today.
Outside of Hellmuth, David “Doc” Sands and Dan Shak are the most recognizable professional at the table. Both have impressive High Roller records and are an extremely experienced high stakes cash game players.
Sands will make his Poker After Dark debut tonight, along with Avi Freedman, Rick Thompson, and Brian Potashnik. While Freedman, Thompson, and Potashnik come from the business world, both are regulars in high stakes cash games and will give Sands and Hellmuth trouble in tonight’s $20,000 minimum buy-in cash game.
