The PokerGO Cup kicked off on Tuesday from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #1: $5,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The tournament drew 177 entries and Michael Moncek leads the final seven players.

Moncek accumulated chips throughout the day and then scored a massive pot for over one-third of the chips in play when he rivered a straight to knock out David Chen towards the end of the night. Moncek is set to return with 37% of the chips in play and leads a final table that includes Joey Weissman, Michael Brinkenhoff, Eric Baldwin, Cherish Andrews, Danny Qutami, and Stephen Song. These seven players will return on Wednesday at 11:45 a.m. already guaranteed $35,400. Up top for the winner is the $185,850 first-place prize, 186 PGT points, and the Event #1 trophy.

The field of 177 entrants created a prize pool of $885,000, setting a record for the biggest PGT owned and operated no-limit hold'em event in the PokerGO Studio. The final 27 players earned a piece of it, and Erik Seidel just fell short when he ran ace-queen into ace-king to become the unfortunate bubble boy. Michael Berk (27th), Shannon Shorr (23rd), Ren Lin (19th), Ethan Yau (18th), Jessica Vierling (14th), Dylan Weisman (12th), Alex Foxen (11th), and David Chen (9th) were among the first to fall in the money.

On the final hand of the night, Keith Lehr got into a blind-versus-blind confrontation and ran treys into Weissman's ladies. The board failed to provide any help and Lehr was eliminated in eighth place, while the seven remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.
