Monday marked the return of Poker After Dark, exclusively broadcast live on PokerGO, from the ARIA Resort & Casino with unrivaled cash game action. The show continues with three new lineups in the classic winner-take-all Sit & Go format starting Tuesday, August 22.
Tuesday’s action features a $25,000 buy-in with Mike Matusow, Jean-Robert Bellande, David Williams, Matt Berkey, Nick Schulman and William Kassouf. Matusow was a fixture on the old PAD with 17 appearances, Williams played five times and Bellande will return after being a fixture in the debut episodes from earlier this week. Kassouf made headlines in the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event and he makes his Poker After Dark debut, along with Schulman and Berkey.
Berkey and Schulman are no strangers to high stakes arena though. The former created the awe-inspiring documentary ‘Dead Money‘, which followed him around from his humble beginnings and tough childhood to playing in the 2016 Super High Roller Bowl. Schulman was the commentator for the Super High Roller Bowl alongside Ali Nejad, and earlier this month, he won the $50,000 High Roller event at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open for $440,000.
Wednesday’s action returns with the stakes at $25,000 and features Jason Koon, Ben Lamb, Scott Seiver, Brian Rast, and Schulman. Koon’s having a stellar year with more than $3 million in live tournament earnings, while Lamb is fresh of his second World Series of Poker Main Event Final Table. After two of the poker world’s most successful tournament players, Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari, played in the opening episode of the season, Seiver and Rast each bring over $20 million in live career earnings to the felt.
Thursday’s game features a splash of Hollywood with producer Randall Emmett. Emmett is the producer of the Starz TV series Power, which was nominated for a NAACP award, and produced the hit film Lone Survivor. Former pro hockey player Greg Mueller also joins the bunch, having played on Poker After Dark twice before in the past.
Koon and Williams also return to end the week, along with Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov. Poker’s favorite couple took down the $10,000 Tag Team Event at the 2017 World Series of Poker and after winning their first gold bracelets, they’ll look to win their first Poker After Dark title.
