(Las Vegas, NV – July 18, 2017) – Poker Central and ARIA Resort & Casino will debut the Poker Masters, a week-long high-stakes poker tournament series comprised of four $50,000 buy-in tournaments and one $100,000 buy-in tournament. Each $50,000 tournament will run for two days, with the $100,000 tournament spanning three days. Featured and final tables will be streamed live on PokerGO from September 13 to September 20, with the exception of a dark day Sunday, Sept. 17. Similar to the Super High Roller Bowl and other events on PokerGO, the Poker Masters will be produced by Poker Productions.
Each $50,000 buy-in tournament will allow a single re-entry. The $100,000 tournament will be played as a “freezeout” event with no re-entries. There will not be a cap on the number of players that can enter in either tournament. There will not be a rake in the $50,000 tournaments for players who sign up on time, nor will there be a rake in the $100,000 tournament for players who play all $50,000 tournaments. Late entries and re-entries will pay a rake. In every event, each player will have a 30-second shot clock per hand and three additional 60-second time banks per day.
The player with the highest total earnings across the five events will be crowned the Poker Masters Champion and take home the Poker Masters Purple Jacket™. The custom jacket is designed and tailored by world-renowned fashion designer Waraire Boswell, who dresses A-list celebrities and athletes including Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, Pharrell Williams, Ellen DeGeneres and LeBron James, among others.
“Poker Masters is a testament to PokerGO’s commitment to deliver the highest quality live poker programming,” said Joe Kakaty, president of Poker Central. “We look forward to continually expanding our live event offering throughout the year to provide our subscribers the opportunity to watch the best content the game has to offer.”
Sean McCormack, director of poker operations for ARIA Resort & Casino, said, “We have hosted a number of successful high-stakes tournaments at ARIA and are looking forward to our upcoming Poker Masters event this fall. Poker Central has been a great partner over the years while leading the industry in the production of poker events worldwide.”
