Poker After Dark – Voices Carry
In the first winner-take-all Sit and Go of the return of Poker After Dark it was clear that Mike Matusow had to be a part of it. Matusow was a feature in the early years of the show as one of the most talkative and confrontational players, but he met his match on PokerGO battling with William Kassouf.
Kassouf talked everyone’s ear off, that of Jean-Robert Bellande in particular. Matt Berkey, however, wasn’t phased as he owned the night by taking home $150,000. Rewatch this entire episode by clicking the link.
On the second night of play, one of the toughest lineup in the show’s history was assembled as more than $75 million in career live tournament earnings collided. Ben Lamb came out on top, defeating Nick Schulman, Jason Koon, Brian Rast, Scott Seiver, and Matt Berkey. Rewatch the entire show here.
The third and final night of $25k SNG action was one for the ages with plenty of tequila shots being taken, banter being had and top notch all-in clashes. Hollywood producer Randall Emmett drove the action, while poker’s power couple Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov got tangled up, all while Jason Koon, Greg Mueller and Eric Worre looked for ways to chip up. Rewatch that entire show right here.
Phil Hellmuth – King of the Hill
On Poker Night in America, Phil Hellmuth went to town versus Daniel Cates in this four player $50,000 winner-take-all heads-up battle. Cates quickly busted Frank Kassela, while Hellmuth took care of heads-up specialist Doug Polk before meeting in the final. The boys on the show have some hot takes on Hellmuth’s play, but even more so a fold made by Jungleman.
PokerStars Championship Barcelona
And then there was a ton of action in Barcelona! We review all the big winner including Ronny Kaiser, Sebastian Sorensson, Stephen Chidwick, Sander van Wesemael and Pedro Caiat. Oh, and both Bryn Kenney and Benjamin Pollak are now even richer.
To cap off the show, Brent Hanks gives some fantasy football hot takes, and we go over the Mayweather vs McGregor fight that played out last Saturday.
