The countdown to the highest stakes week of the year has begun and over the next seven days, Poker Central will prepare fans for the first-ever Poker Masters series. The five-event high stakes series will be streamed exclusively on PokerGO and the action starts September 13th and concludes with the Poker Masters Purple Jacket™ presentation on September 20th.
Poker Masters and the Super High Roller Bowl are similar in the fact that each will boast some of the highest stakes and best players the poker world has ever seen. The biggest difference though, unlike the Super High Roller Bowl, is that the Poker Masters field is not set ahead of time. Unfortunately, that will make previewing each event difficult but a handful of players have confirmed that they’ll participate in most, if not all, of the first-ever Poker Masters series.
From players that have made World Series of Poker Main Event final tables, won multiple WSOP bracelets, have millions of dollars in career earnings, and mind-numbing career resumes, these players certainly fit the qualifications needed to be considered Poker Masters. Over the next week, Poker Central will introduce these players and share what each believes makes a Poker Master.
Daniel Negreanu, who has spent the last few days booking side action for the Poker Masters series, is the first player to be featured in our #MeetTheMasters series and the Poker Hall of Famer says it takes more than just fundamentals to be successful at the highest levels.
