The poker prodigy got his start playing online freerolls and quickly built up a bankroll to compete at higher stakes and in the live arena.
Before Somerville could legally play live in the United States, he battled a life-threatening illness and before he won his first-career World Series of Poker bracelet, American online poker player’s lives, including Somerville’s, were turned upside down by Black Friday.
Instead of allow Black Friday to halt his career though, Somerville rose from the ashes and began to run it up. What started as a bankroll challenge on YouTube has now turned into one of the poker world’s most popular streams. Somerville has brought tons of new players to the game and his Run It Up streams and brand earned Somerville a sponsorship with PokerStars.
