Over the last two months, Poker After Dark has created some big pots, big moments, and featured some big name players, but last week’s “Perks of the Trade” cash games were bigger than anything that has hit PokerGO since Poker After Dark rebooted in August. The biggest cash games in Poker After Dark history were headlined by hedge fund manager and High Roller Bill Perkins and a rotating cast of characters.
The opening night of “Perks of the Trade” action featured Hollywood’s Rick Salomon, who has had success in some of the poker world’s biggest events. Salomon kicked off the week in style, pulling off a few well-timed bluffs and then winning a nearly $1 million pot against Chinese businessman Aaron Zang. The other star of the opening night, was prolific NBA sports bettor Haralabos Voulgaris, who picked up aces in a dream spot against Phil Galfond.
The second night of $300/$600 No Limit Hold’em cash games featured a Poker After Dark return for Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, who headlined some massive cash games during “Rumble with Jungle” week. Matt Berkey and Brandon Adams also joined the action, but the biggest hands of the night centered around Bill Perkins. He won a nearly $600,000 pot against Rick Salomon, that made Perkins a winner in back-to-back sessions.
The “Perks of the Trade” finale ran five-handed, but that didn’t mean that there was a lack of action. Aaron Zang got the party started early, with a massive clash with Daniel Cates, and Doug Polk returned to the Poker After Dark felt with the “7-2” game. Polk was the only businessman who couldn’t book a win in the straddle-filled game, while Perkins closed the week going three-for-three.
Relive all the “Perks of the Trade” action on-demand on PokerGO, along with past Poker After Dark episodes in the event replays tab. Also, don’t miss the ARIA High Roller Series on PokerGO, which debuts this week with final table coverage on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28.
