Poker Central is excited to announce the full lineup of the first three days of Poker After Dark on PokerGO, starting on Monday August 14th at 8:00 pm ET. Tom Dwan is making his highly anticipated return to televised poker, as he’s playing all three days in the $100,000 minimum buy-in cash game.
About his return to Poker After Dark Dwan said, “I travel around a lot to play poker, and in Manila and Macau people ask me about those shows. All over the world people liked watching those, and every time I get asked ‘When will they be back?’ I’m excited that now, after six years, they will be back.”
Dwan’s been largely absent from the North American poker scene for the last few years, but looking back on his many Poker After Dark appearances, he’s getting excited to be playing under the bright lights again.
“The shows were fun, they ended up being more interesting and more fun than I expected. It also helped that I won basically every hand that I played. If I called they were bluffing, if I was bluffing they folded. I’m hoping that continues,” Dwan laughed.
“I’m happy to play on any show that Poker PROductions does, the cash games are bigger and in a much easier and relaxed environment and I have a good time doing them. Now seems like a good time for the show to be restarting and I’ll be there as much as I can.” Dwan added.
Tom Dwan returns to Las Vegas in the premiere episode with Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, Jean-Robert Bellande, Lauren Roberts and Bill Klein. The six-figure No Limit Hold’em buy-in starts with blinds at $200/$400 with a $400 button ante.
Dwan’s highly anticipated return, to not only PAD, but US soil, comes after primarily playing in Macau and Manila for the past couple of years. The two richest players in tournament history, Negreanu and Esfandiari, join nosebleed veterans for the first day of play.
Tuesday and Wednesday nights juggle the lineup, with Doyle Brunson and Andrew Robl stepping in for Negreanu and Esfandiari.
