We don’t know how, we don’t know why and we don’t really know when but over the last few months, vlogs have been all the craze in the poker world. Each Saturday, Poker Central’s “What the Vlog?” series will highlight our favorite vlog of the week. Also, don’t forget to check out our “Don’t Look Now” series, which keeps poker fans up to speed on everything poker and video from the previous week.
All vlogs are not created equally and throughout the summer, Daniel Negreanu set himself apart from the rest of the poker world with his immersive World Series of Poker vlog. Throughout a career-best World Series, Negreanu gave fans an in-depth look at the action both on and off the felt, including preparation, workout tips and more.
Negreanu hasn’t played much since the end of the World Series but he will return to the felt in a big way next week. Negreanu, along with high stakes legend Tom Dwan, are headlining the first episode of Poker After Dark’s reboot, streaming exclusively on PokerGO this Monday.
In the spirit of Poker After Dark’s return, Negreanu posted a PAD hand breakdown earlier this week. The hand is from a $100/$200 cash game and Negreanu clashes with ten-time WSOP bracelet winner Johnny Chan.
Without spoiling the action, there may or may not be a Joe Ingram shout out at some point, the two-time Main Event winner puts Negreanu in a tough spot on the river. Throughout the vlog, Negreanu talks through his strategy on every street and by the end, the question remains, do you agree with Negreanu’s play?
Watch Negreanu return to Poker After Dark next week, when the high stakes series returns to PokerGO on Monday, August 14. A complete list of inaugural lineups and schedules can be found here and for more Daniel Negreanu vlogs, subscribe to his YouTube channel.
