Throughout the summer, PokerGO will bring fans across the globe exclusive access to World Series of Poker final table streams and Poker Central will be following all the WSOP action. Each day, “World Series of Photos” will tell the daily stories from the Rio, so you don’t miss any of the sights of the WSOP.
Event #47 – $1,500 Monster Stack
There are only a few changes to become a poker millionaire at the World Series of Poker and the Monster Stack is one of them. The event starts each competitor with 15,000 chips, an aptly named monster stack by WSOP standards, but the 100 million chips in play are now all at the final table and WSOP Circuit legend Maurice Hawkins, pictured top, is still alive with seven players remaining. The ten-time WSOP Circuit ring winner finished 9th in The Marathon and is now just a few spots away from his first WSOP gold bracelet.
Event #50 – $1,500 Bounty No Limit Hold’em
While the Monster Stack final table is the biggest final table playing to a winner in the Brasilia Room, two other events are crowning champions tonight as well. Nine players remain in the $1,500 Bounty event and that lineup is certainly going to be fearing the beard, as Bryan Emory is currently atop the counts.
Event #51 – $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship
The $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship is likely going to be one of the biggest $10,000 events of the summer and that field is also down to a final table. Two-time bracelet winner Josh Arieh is still in contention, along with Player of the Year contender Ray Henson but the biggest name at the final table is Chris Ferguson. The man known as “Jesus” is vying for his 6th career bracelet and if he does manage to navigate his way to the winner’s circle, it could possibly be the most talked about victory at the WSOP ever.
Event #52 – $1,500 No Limit Hold’em
Tomorrow, PokerGO returns to stream the final table of Event #52 and while there are some big names still alive in that $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event, former NFL lineman Richard Seymour is dominating headlines. The Super Bowl champion is currently in the top-five with just over 60 players remaining and if Seymour makes his way to tomorrow’s final table, we won’t be exaggerating when we say that that will be a must-watch stream.
