Event #20 – $1,500 Millionaire Maker
Pablo Mariz became poker’s newest millionaire last night, outlasting a massive 7,761-player field to win the Millionaire Maker for $1,221,000. The Canadian was extremely emotional after coming close to a bracelet last week, when he was forced to settle for the silver medal in the $1,000 Tag Team event, but he wasn’t denied in one of the WSOP’s biggest events. Event #24 – $1,500 Limit Hold’em
This week in I Have No Idea What Is Going On Here, Mark Bassaly’s rail from the Event #24 final table. The Californian, who eventually finished 8th for a career-best score, had a boisterous rail that came with some extra signage. The message those signs were trying to convey, remain unknown to us but while poker needs less dogs and vlogs, , it definitely needs more signs.
Event #26 – $10,000 Razz Championship
Part II of I Have No Idea What Is Going On Here, Brandon Shack-Harris. The mixed game specialist, pictured top, had some help on Day 2 of the $10,000 Razz Championship from his puppets? We’ll call them puppets, sure. In the end, Shack-Harris and his finger friends navigated their way to the final table, meaning BSH has a shot at a third-career bracelet today.
Event #27 – $3,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed
Last week’s $1,500 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed final table, which streamed on PokerGO, was filled with big names and the $3,000 version of that event, which began yesterday, should see the cream again rise to the top. The final table is a few days away and while the next PokerGO lineup won’t be set until tomorrow night, Craig Varnell is in the driver’s seat after bagging the Day 1 chip lead.
