The Sit-N-Gos on Poker After Dark usually take a few orbits around the table before the action gets going. This is not the case on “WSOP Champions” week as 2000 World Series of Poker Main Event winner Chris Ferguson and 2001 champ Carlos Mortensen square off on the first hand of the night.
Inside THE VAULT is an action-packed start to one of the premier lineups on Season 1 of Poker After Dark.
The first edition of the winners of the biggest tournament in all of poker is filled with star power with Jamie Gold, Chris Moneymaker, Johnny Chan, and Doyle Brunson sitting at the table.
When the cards are first dealt, the mood is light but that quickly changes once the raising war between Ferguson and Mortensen commences.
By the time Ferguson pushes all-in, the only thing for Brunson to say, “First hand, gentlemen.”
More than Brunson’s reserved amazement at the situation is Gold going over to PAD host Shana Hiatt to discuss the situation. Gold was far from camera shy during his 2006 Main Event run and knows a good place to get some face time when he sees it.
Mortensen gives it a long think as he’s put to the test giving the table plenty of time to stew over what both might have.
Head into THE VAULT on PokerGO and watch for yourself as fireworks erupt on the Poker After Dark stage.
