Will we continue to see big numbers at the 2022 World Series of Poker? Very likely yes. The $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo tournament drew a record field of 1,086 entries, surpassing the previous record of 1,036 entries from 2014. The $10,000 Dealer’s Choice event also attracted a record turnout.
At the WSOP press conference that took place in the days leading up to the 2022 WSOP, Ty Stewart, Executive Director of WSOP, stated that he thought the 2022 WSOP Main Event would become the largest field size in WSOP Main Event history. That would mean it would need to draw more runners than the 2006 WSOP Main Event which was won by Jamie Gold and had 8,773 entries.
