The 6th Annual Global Poker Awards was held in the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV, on Saturday, February 222, with 37 trophies awarded throughout the evening. The show was broadcast exclusively on PokerGO.com, with the PokerGO Studio full of industry members, poker players, poker personalities, and many more.

Multiple categories were already determined, with David Coleman winning GPI Player of the Year and Cherish Andrews winning GPI Female Player of the Year for the second time in her poker career. Han Feng won GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year, while Jeremy Ausmus was crowned the PGT Player of the Year for topping the 2024 PGT leaderboard with two wins, 27 cashes, and $6,491,016 in PGT earnings. Jesse Lonis was also awarded a Global Poker Award for Most Weeks at GPI #1 in 2024.

Jeff Platt and Drea Renee hosted the awards, while many other guests presented awards throughout the night, including WPT's Matt Savage, Poker.Org's Eric Hollreiser, PokerStars' Steve Preiss, PokerNews' Yori Epskamp, PokerStars' James Hartigan, MGM's Sean McCormack, PGT's Tim Duckworth, RunGood Poker Series' Tana Karn, Lance Bradley, Ali Nejad, PokerGO's Mori Eskandani, and GPI's Eric Danis and Roland Boothby.

Among those in attendance to accept their awards were GPI Breakout Player winner Rania Nasreddine, Best Industry Person winner Francine Watson, Best Director of Poker Operations winner Ryan Beauregard, Beest On-Air Talent winner Jeff Platt, Rising Star in Content Creation winner Abby Merk, and Best Media Content: Short-Form Video winner Nikki Limo. The WSOP Main Event won Best Event, the BSOP won Best Mid-Major Tour/Circuit, and the Irish Poker Open won Best Stand-Alone Festival/Series. The PGT received honors for the Most Original Trophy with the Texas Poker Open belt buckle.
