PokerGO WSOP Podcast: What Makes The Main Event So Special?
Today, Poker Central announced its PokerGO 2018 WSOP live stream schedule along with its broadcast talent. PokerGO will live stream WSOP events on its OTT platform from June 2 through July 17, highlighted by thirteen days of Main Event coverage and two days of Big One for One Drop action to cap off a thrilling summer.
Poker Central VP of Content Sam Simmons said, “We’re eager to continue our live coverage of the WSOP on PokerGO for the second year running. Our expanded coverage schedule including a wide array of poker variants will give our viewers even more opportunities to follow all the action of the world’s most prestigious tournament series.”
In 2017, Poker Central and the WSOP inked a deal and extended the ESPN relationship by offering live wall-to-wall coverage of the Main Event for the very first time. Between ESPN and PokerGO, fans saw Scott Blumstein become the first Main Event champion in the post-November Nine era.
Earlier this year, Poker Central and ESPN released their preliminary live coverage schedule for the WSOP Main Event, which will air from July 2 – July 14. Additionally, ESPN will broadcast the “Big One for One Drop” July 16-17 – a $1,000,000 buy-in tournament that takes place every other year. PokerGO will offer exclusive WSOP Main Event and “Big One for One Drop” coverage that is not broadcast during ESPN windows.
Executive Director of the WSOP Ty Stewart said, “We’re looking forward to having Poker Central and ESPN tag team coverage for the WSOP again this year. Fans can expect stellar storylines and wall-to-wall coverage throughout the event and during the ‘Big One for One Drop.’”
