Justin Bonomo came into Day 2 of the $10,000 Heads Up NLH Championship as one of the few big names that remained. Two Bonomo wins, over Niall Farrell and Mark McGovern, advanced the Super High Roller Bowl winner to the semi-final and now Justin Bonomo is two more wins from his second World Series of Poker bracelet.
Bonomo will match up with Martijn Gerrits in the first semi-final. The Dutchman has had to play some of the world’s best players to get to this point and it doesn’t get any easier in the first match of the Final Four.
British heads-up specialist Jason McConnon and Spanish online pro Juan Pardo Dominguez match up in the other semi-final. Dominguez will hope to keep the $10,000 Heads Up NLH Championship bracelet in Spanish possession, after Adrian Mateos won in 2017.
