The 2025 PGT PLO Series kicked off from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with Event #1: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha. The tournament drew 164 entries and Bryce Yockey leads the final six players.

Yockey surged up the leaderboard when he doubled through Brian Breck and then eliminated Breck on the very next hand to take the chip lead, which he then leveraged to further accumulate en route to the top of the end-of-day counts. Yockey leads a final table that includes James Chen, Jeremy Ausmus, John Riordan, Ky Nguyen, and Matthew McEwan. These six players will return already guaranteed $41,000, while all eyes will be on the $180,400 first-place prize, 180 PGT points, and the Event #1 trophy.

The field of 164 entrants created a prize pool of $820,000 and the final 25 players earned a piece of it. Dylan Linde was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got in his remaining stack with queens and Riordan rivered a straight. Stephanie Chung (22nd), Matthew Wantman (20th), Daniel Negreanu (18th), Arthur Morris (17th), Sean Winter (16th), Ronald Keijzer (13th), and Adam Hendrix (9th) were among those to cash in the event.

Hendrix lost a sizable pot down the stretch when he rivered top boat but the same card improved Ausmus to a royal flush. Hendrix was eliminated shortly after, and when Thai Ho fell in eighth place, the remaining field converged on a single table. Ausmus was the short stack and it appeared his time was up when he got kings in against Steve Zolotow's top set of aces, but the board ran out with the rest of the kings in the deck to give Ausmus backdoor quads for the triple. Zolotow was left short-stacked and after surviving for a bit, he ultimately fell in seventh place. The six remaining players played out the level before they bagged to return for the streamed final table.
