The Texas Poker Open continued at Champions Club in Houston, Texas, with the PGT High Roller Event #2: $5,100 No-Limit Hold'em.
David Chen emerged victorious to win his second PGT title and the $54,000 first-place prize. He takes home the prestigious Texas Poker Open belt buckle trophy and 54 PGT points for his ninth career PGT cash and fifth final table. Chen has now eclipsed more than $930,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, according to The Hendon Mob.
The second high roller tournament of the series attracted a 24-entrant field that paid the final four players. Han Feng was eliminated on the money bubble when he ran ace-nine into the ace-queen of Chen. David Evans was the first to exit in the money, collecting $13,200 for his fourth-place finish, and High Roller #1 champ Ray Qartomy was eliminated in third place for $19,200 when his ace-six was outdrawn by the queen-five suited of Chen.
Chen held nearly a four-to-one chip lead over Ernest Bush at the start of heads-up play, and Bush was looking for a double when he moved in on the button with six-five offsuit, but couldn't improve against the ace-four suited of Chen. Chen found a clean runout on king-queen-three-king-eight to send Bush to the rail in second place for $33,600 and collect his second PGT title.
