Throwback Hands: Mike Matusow Survives Blowup on PokerGO
The fourth $50,000 Poker Masters event Final Table starts pitching cards Sunday at 3:30 pm ET only on PokerGO with a stacked final table. Doug Polk and Jake Schindler return from Saturday’s final table while Steffen Sontheimer returns for his third final table. There are serious Poker Masters Purple Jacket™ implications on the line with Sontheimer leading all players with $1.1 million.
Polk leads the field with 1.3 million and only Brandon Adams bagged up a seven-figure stack. Adams was unsure about playing the Series, but found his groove late Saturday night.
Sontheimer leads the chase pack with David Peters, Justin Bonomo, Schindler and Zach Clark filling out the table. Here’s a look at how they’ll be seated when cards hit the air:
Seat | Chip Count | Country |
1. Steffen Sontheimer | 689,000 | Germany |
2. Doug Polk | 1,357,000 | USA |
3. Brandon Adams | 1,187,000 | USA |
4. Justin Bonomo | 525,000 | USA |
5. Jake Schindler | 343,000 | USA |
6. Zach Clark | 149,000 | USA |
7. David Peters | 636,000 | USA |
The cards-up live stream features Ali Nejad and David Williams on commentary with Maria anchoring reports from the field. The action stays live on PokerGO until they crown a winner along with $819,000.
The 39-entrant field made for a smaller prize pool than the first three Poker Masters events, so only the top six players earn a cash. The previous three events paid out eight players for a PokerGO bubble, but one of Sunday’s finalists leave without a payout.
Monday kicks off the $100,000 Poker Masters Finale with PokerGO streaming the feature table at 8:30 pm ET. The field plays ten levels and returns live to PokerGO Tuesday at 3:30 pm to play down to Wednesday’s Final Table.
