Jordan Cristos Chip Leading Event #2; Sean Winter Eyes Points Lead

Jordan Cristos slowly chipped up during the final 7 players and will head into the final table with a slight edge in chips.

The big news out day however was Event #1 runner up Sean Winter who made it two final tables in two days and will have to maneuver from the bottom of the pack if he hopes to improve on his runner up finish from Event #1.

Winter currently sits just behind the defending champion Stephen Chidwick in the U.S. Poker Open standings after two events with 140 points to Chidwick’s 200. A 5th place or better finish places him into a tie with Chidwick for the lead, while a 4th place or better finish gives him the lead outright. 

Jordan Cristos also has a shot to shake up the leader board as well following up his min-cash in Event #1 with his final table appearance. Cristos needs a win to take the lead outright from Chidwick.

The players reached the final table when Martin Zamani knocked out Brent Roberts when his best the of Brent Roberts on a board of to send home Roberts with the $32,000 seventh-place prize.

The money bubble burst in dramatic fashion when Adams got it all-in before the flop holding but was behind Hendrix and his .

Notable players to bust just before the money included Event #1 winner and defending U.S. Poker Open Champion Stephen Chidwick (18th), Justin Bonomo (12th), Larry Wright (17th) and Anthony Zinno (14th).

The final six players will return on Friday at 4 p.m. (EST) to play down to the winner. Each player is currently guaranteed $38,400, with the winner taking home $179,200 and the trophy.
