Day 4 of the 2017 Aussie Millions Main Event started with 36 hopefuls playing for a seat at the final table. A grueling, 12-hour day on the felt trimmed the field and against all odds, Fedor Holz has back-to-back days of final tables after making to the final seven as the short stack and a seat in the $100,000 Challenge final table on Saturday.
Shurane Vijayaram (7.4 million) has a massive lead on the six other final tablists with more than double than Ben Heath in second place (3.2 million). Rounding out the final table are Jeff Rossiter, Tobias Hausen, David Olson and Luke Roberts.
Holz is poker’s latest meme, referring to his 2016 “retirement” from poker. He could potentially win AUD$2.48 million in two days as a recreational player – inching towards the $23 million mark and passing Sam Trickett and Phil Hellmuth.
The long day say Mustaph Kanit fall in 11th place, Jeremy Joseph in 21st, Jennifer Tilly in 29th and Brian Altman in 36th place as the first casualty of the day.
The final table resumes on Sunday at noon local time, complete with Jason Somerville’s Twitch stream of all the action.
