Jesse Lonis Leads 2025 PGT PLO Series Event #2: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty

The 2025 PGT PLO Series continued from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada with Event #2: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty. The tournament drew 159 entries and Jesse Lonis leads the final five players.

Lonis was one of the top stacks for the majority of the evening before he lost a huge pot to become the short stack. He then scored multiple triples and doubles as opponents eyed his big bounty and once again became the chip leader before he bagged up nearly one-third of the chips in play. Lonis leads a final table that includes Arthur Morris, Billy Tarango, James Chen, and Stephen Hubbard. These five players will return already guaranteed $28,620, while all eyes will be on the $88,245 first-place prize in addition to the bounties, 182 PGT points, and the Event #2 trophy.

In this progressive bounty format, when you eliminate another player, you receive half of their bounty as a cash prize, while the other half goes towards increasing your own bounty.

The field of 159 entrants created a prize pool of $795,000. Forty percent of it was set aside for the bounties and the final 23 players earned a piece of the regular prize pool. Mark Chapic was the unfortunate bubble boy when he was forced all-in from the big blind and fell to Lonis. John Riordan (23rd), Sean Troha (21st), Allan Le (18th), Sean Winter (16th), Lautaro Guerra (14th), Patrick Leonard (10th), and Nick Schulman (9th) were among those to cash in the event.

Joao Simao lost the rest of his short stack to fall in eighth place and the remaining field converged on a single table. Tyler Brown got his chips in with aces on a three-way all-in and was looking to score a triple, but Lonis made a full house and Brown was eliminated in seventh place. Shortly after, another three-way all-in transpired and Chen was looking to triple with his aces of his own. He improved to top set to secure the triple, while John Richards was eliminated in sixth place, and the remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.

When play resumes, there will be 10:00 remaining in Level 19 with blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante. The button will be Arthur Morris.

Play will resume on Thursday, March 27, at 11:45 a.m. PT, and the final table will be livestreamed on PokerGO at 1 p.m. PT.
