The 2024 Super High Roller Series continued from the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Spa in North Cyprus, with Maritn Dam winning Event #8: $25,750 Pot-Limit Omaha (7-Max) for $278,000 in prize money.
This is Dam's first PGT title and the second biggest live cash of his poker career. Dam's lifetime tournament earnings, according to The Hendon Mob, now exceed $1,300,000.
The first of three Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments to close out the Super High Roller Series attracted 23 entrants and created a prize pool of $563,500 that originally paid the final three players. Following the elimination of Tomasz Krzesinski in sixth place and Jan-Peter Jachtmann in fifth place, the final four players agreed to pay the fourth-place finisher $25,000 and adjusted the payouts.
Gergo Nagy bowed out in fourth place for $25,000 and 15 PGT points, and he was followed by Imad Derwiche who captured $95,000 in prize money and 57 PGT points. Dam entered heads-up play against Yassin Mahmoud at a chip disadvantage, but he soon doubled into the lead.
