Season XVI on the World Poker Tour concluded at Esports Arena Las Vegas with the Tournament of Champions. Darren Elias was in the driver’s seat to win the title after earning his fourth WPT win earlier this week at the Bobby Baldwin Classic. Elias’ date with destiny was interrupted by Matthew Waxman, who overcame four difficult opponents to win the final table.

The final table streamed on PokerGO and included exciting poker for the duration of the event.

Among the players Waxman defeated include Super High Roller Bowl commentator Nick Schulman. Fans will hear Schulman’s voice on the Super High Roller Bowl live stream in just a few hours and yesterday, they watched the talented pro battle for the coveted title.

Waxman made the first dent in Elias’ stack when he won a large pot against the four-time Champions Cup winner. Elias saw nothing but blue skies for the last week but some clouds finally got in his way.

Elias found himself in more trouble in three-handed play. Short-stacked against Waxman and Matas Cimbolas, Elias got his chips in bad and the situation got worse as soon as the flop came out.

Cimbolas and Waxman faced off for the Tournament of Champions title with Waxman holding a slight edge to start. Waxman furthered his lead during the match and then closed it out with a great call to earn his second win on the World Poker Tour.

The Tournament of Champions concludes WPT live streams on PokerGO for Season XVI. More poker is on the way starting today with Day 1 of the Super High Roller Bowl starting at 6:00 pm from the PokerGO Studio.

PokerGO is also the home for the World Series of Poker with final tables streaming for the full summer schedule.
