Negreanu Near Top, $25K High Roller Resumes Monday on PokerGO

The U.S. Poker Open continued on Saturday, with the final table of the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha event streaming live on PokerGO and Day 1 of the $25,000 High Roller playing down to the final six in the ARIA Poker Room. When registration closed for Event #3, 44 entrants had built up a $1.1 million prize pool. When play concluded, Daniel Negreanu was near the top of the final leader board.

While “Kid Poker” is near the top, he slightly trails Keith Tilston. The one-man wrecking ball eliminated players by the handful during Day 1, en route to bagging 1,734,000. Negreanu is just a couple big blinds off Tilston’s pace, as he finished with an even 1,700,000.

The rest of the Event #3 final table lineup will return on Monday below 1 million. Jake Schindler is just below that threshold, with 999,000, but Stephen Chidwick, Seth Davies, and Brent Hanks are all well below seven-figures.

Chidwick, who finished 5th in Event #1, bagged just over 500,000 for his second PokerGO appearance of the U.S. Poker Open. Davies and Hanks, who bagged 335,000 and 213,000, respectively, haven’t been featured on PokerGO during the USPO, but have experience in past Poker Masters and ARIA High Roller Series broadcasts.

They’ll return with short stacks, but open U.S. Poker Open accounts. The entire final table is guaranteed at least a $66,000 score, after Nick Schulman earned $55,000 for his 7th place result. Event #3 only paid out seven players, meaning that nearly all of the $25,000 High Roller payouts will be broadcast live.

The Event #3 final table won’t stream until Monday though, as the U.S. Poker Open takes a break for Super Bowl Sunday. When broadcasts resume on Monday, the action starts to pick up as the USPO heads into the homestretch with the $25,000 Mixed Game Championship and multiple NLH High Rollers.

The U.S. Poker Open will stream every day next week, starting with the Event #3 final table on Monday at 4:00 PM ET. The $25,000 High Roller final table seat draw, along with the player’s chip counts, is provided below:
