A three-day $25,000 High Roller kicked off Thursday with 151 entrants in the field. It’s a single re-entry format with players able to enter before the start of play on Day 2. Ten levels of action trimmed the field down to 75 players with Nick Petrangelo leading the field.
Sam Greenwood, Byron Kaverman and NFL legend Richard Seymour finished in the top ten stacks. Seymour joined celebrities Aaron Paul and Kevin Hart in Atlantis for the festival and have been playing in some of the biggest game. We imagine though he had a very different workout than Daniel Negreanu early in the day.
Isaac Haxton, Steve O’Dwyer, Vanessa Selbst and Eugene Katchalov were some of the early eliminations of the day bur are eligible to re-enter Friday. Joe McKeehen, Charlie Carrell, Chance Kornuth and Sean Winter are the only players to fire both bullets and cannot re-enter.
Day 2 is scheduled at noon for another ten levels of action or to the tournament director’s discretion if a situation arises. The prize pool already sits at $3.775 million and organizers hope to hit the $4 million mark by the start of play.
