The Poker Masters Online on partypoker continues to draw big numbers as the race for the Purple Jacket and the $50,000 top prize is hotly contested. Pauli Ayras took a big leap towards the jacket and top prize last night by winning Event #19 for $548,625 while others including David Peters, Sam Greenwood, and Steve O’Dwyer jumped into contention with big results.

The final week of Poker Masters Online has a $25,000 No Limit Hold’em event on each day and last night saw the biggest prize pool yet with 77 total entries and nearly $2 million to play for. Jorryt van Hoof held the chip lead deep in this event but eventually bubbled after which it was Pauli Ayras going on a tear at the final table. The Finn beat Sam Greenwood heads up and lay claim to more than half a million dollars and enough points to grab a commanding Championship lead.

The second event of the night had a faster structure and Van Hoof, after bubbling the earlier event, grabbed some valuable points to put himself in fourth on the overall standings with eight total cashes. David Peters, after finishing third in the $25k, finished second in this one to Steve O’Dwyer. With their results tonight, O’Dwyer (12th) and Sam Greenwood (11th) are now one win away from being at or near the top of the overall standings.
