Global Poker Awards 2023 Winners
PokerGO®, the world’s largest poker content company, today announced their partnership with Global Poker Index (GPI) and The Hendon Mob (THM), trading names of Mediarex Group, a global sports and entertainment organization, to present the Global Poker Awards through 2024. The Global Poker Awards are held from inside the PokerGO® Studio at the ARIA Resort & Casino. The awards bring together notable poker players, poker media, and poker industry pioneers for a night of celebrating excellence within the sport.
The first two editions of the Global Poker Awards were held inside the PokerGO® Studio in 2019 and 2020. Due to COVID-19, the Global Poker Awards did not take place in 2021 and will resume in March 2022. The 2022, 2023, and 2024 Global Poker Awards will stream live on PokerGO®’s streaming service.
“We are honored to be a part of celebrating the accomplishments of the most renowned figures in the poker industry,” said Eric Danis, President of GPI/THM. “After having to cancel this year’s ceremony due to the pandemic, we are so excited to welcome the poker world once again to the Global Poker Awards in March 2022 and for years to come.”
More than 20 awards will be presented within the poker industry at the 2022 Global Poker Awards, highlighting the best of the best in the sport. Awards including – GPI Player of the Year, GPI Female Player of the Year, Poker ICON, Players’ Choice Award for Best All-Around Poker Player, People’s Choice Award for Hand of the Year and more will be handed out to notable figures in the industry.
“The Global Poker Awards recognize and celebrate the most elite poker players and significant figures making a notable difference in the industry,” said Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO®. “At PokerGO®, we aim to give credit to those who make a splash in our sport, and holding these awards in the PokerGO® Studio for the next three years allows us to do so.”
