Maxx Coleman started the $10,200 Mori's Mix final table with the chip lead but fell to the bottom of the counts four-handed before going on a tear during 2-7 triple draw three handed to take home the title and $210,000 first place prize plus 210 PGT points in Event #5 of PGT Mixed Games 2025.
Coleman started his run to re-take the chip lead when he sent David Funkhouser home in fourth place after making a seven low on sixth street in razz, leaving Funkhouser drawing dead to collect his $70,000 prize plus 70 PGT points.
From there, Coleman won nearly an entire orbit of 2-7 triple draw hands to rake in almost seventy percent of the chips in play before tournament namesake and PokerGO president Mori Eskandani sent Mike Gorodinsky home in third place for $94,500 plus 95 PGT points with turned kings-up.
Eskandani made a game of it heads-up after hitting a nine-seven perfect in 2-7 triple draw against Coleman's nine-seven-five to take the chip lead, but with the limits reaching 300,000/600,000, Coleman made queens-up in Stud on seventh street to take the chip lead right back.
Coleman cemented the chip lead with a seven badugi an orbit later to collect nearly ninety percent of the chips in play before closing out the tournament with a bang in Hold'em.
Coleman held pocket seven, and after hitting a seven on the river to make trips, Eskandani and his pocket queens hit the rail in second place for $136,000 plus 136 PGT points.
Hours before the fireworks three and four-handed, Eskandani would send Steve Zolotow to the rail in fifth place for $52,500 plus 53 PGT points in Stud with a pair of aces.
Moments earlier, Daniel Negreanu found himself backing into the nut flush on the river in Omaha. However, Gorodinsky rivered a full house, leaving "Kid Poker" to hit the rail in sixth place for $38,500 plus 39 PGT points after his first final table appearance of the year.
Eskandani got the eliminations started early in the day when he broke a nine in 2-7 on the last draw against Dzmitry Urbanovich only to see Urbanovich table an eight-draw. Urbanovich missed his draw, Eskandani remade a nine, and Urbanovich hit the rail in for $28,000 plus 28 PGT points for the seventh-place finish.
