Watch Quarterfinals – Game 2 of The Big Blind now!
The Big Blind was hosted by Jeff Platt as he guided three contestants through the unique game show format. Each contestant began with 10,000 in tournament chips and would follow a limit hold’em betting structure. The question category would be revealed, and contestants would base their betting on their confidence level in that category with a question for the flop, turn, and river with contestants continuing to wager like they would in a normal poker game.
The top two contestants would progress through to the quarterfinals from Round 1, and six contestants would advance to the semifinals. Three contestants would reach the finals where they would be in-the-money and be playing for $15,000 for first place, $10,000 for second place, and $5,000 for third place.
After six games of Round 1 play, play has progressed to the quarterfinals where there will be four games before players progress to the semifinals and then eventually the finals. In Game 3 of the quarterfinals, the contestants included WSOP 2019 Main Event fourth-place finisher Garry Gates, PokerNews’ Sarah Herring, and three-time WSOP bracelet winner Ben Yu.
The Big Blind can be rewatched on YouTube via the above video which goes live at 3 p.m. ET, while it is available on Facebook at 3 p.m. ET.
