The PGT Last Chance continued on Wednesday from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the final event of the series, Event #6: $10,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The tournament drew 116 entries and Shannon Shorr leads the final seven players.

Shorr spiked an ace on the turn to crack kings late in the evening and continued to accumulate en route to the overnight chip lead. He leads a final table that includes Boris Angelov, Stephen Chidwick, Ren Lin, Sean Winter, Jeremy Becker, and Dylan Linde. These seven players will return on Thursday at 12 p.m. already guaranteed $46,400. Up top for the winner is the $290,000 first-place prize, 290 PGT points, and the Event #6 trophy.

The field of 116 entrants created a prize pool of $1,160,000 and the final 17 players earned a piece of it. Sam Laskowitz was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his stack in with ace-king against the king-queen of Lin, and when Lin flopped a "Lady Gaga", Laskowitz was eliminated just shy of the money. Stephen Song (17th), Justin Zaki (16th), Joseph Cheong (15th), Chino Rheem (14th), Martin Carnero (13th), Jim Collopy (12th), David Chen (11th), Aram Oganyan (10th), and Matthew McEwan (9th) were the first to fall in the money.

Jonathan Tamayo picked up his first cash of the series and navigated his way to the cusp of the final table. Tamayo got his stack in with pocket fives but ran into the kings of Winter and the queens of Lin, and when the runout gave all three players a set, Tamayo was eliminated in eighth place, while the seven remaining players bagged to return for the streamed final table.

Although Tamayo missed out on the final table, his cash did secure him a seat into the season-ending PGT $1,000,000 Championship, which is open to the top 40 eligible players on the PGT leaderboard and will commence on Friday, January 10. Fellow WSOP Main Event final tablist Angelov also secured a seat in that tournament with his cash.

Shorr, having won Event #2, has already secured a Dream Seat for direct entry into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship. Brandon Wilson, who won Event #3 and #4 has also clinched one. A third Dream Seat is up for grabs and Event #5 winner Martin Zamani is currently in the lead for it, but Linde could take it with a second-place finish. If Linde were to win, he would qualify for the tournament by moving into the eligible top 40.

Becker would move into the eligible top 40 with a third-place finish or better, but he could also win a Dream Pass into The Dream Seat Invitational with a fifth-place finish. David Chen, Landon Tice, and Sam Laskowitz are among those who have locked up a Dream Pass for entry into The Dream Seat Invitational, which will play out on Thursday, January 9, and will award the final six Dream Seats into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship freeroll.
