Trickett, Esfandiari Battle on partypoker LIVE Cash Game

Monte Carlo doesn’t have a monopoly on high stakes action. partypoker LIVE, in association with Poker Night in America, is streaming a $100/200 cash game from the Playground Poker Club near Montreal. The first partypoker MILLIONS North America Main Event, with CAD$1 million guaranteed for first, begins Friday but some high stakes legends are getting the action started a few days early.

Poker Central Ambassador Antonio Esfandiari and English High Roller and partypoker Ambassador Sam Trickett, who Esfandiari beat in the 2012 Big One for ONE Drop at the World Series of Poker, headline the game. While Trickett won’t be playing in this summer’s Super High Roller Bowl, Lauren Roberts, who is also playing in the game, will be competing in the $300,000 buy-in event.

While her tournament resume may not be as lengthy as her High Roller counterparts, Roberts is an experienced cash game player and at the time of publication, was sitting as the biggest winner in the partypoker LIVE game with profits over $100,000. Trickett, being a good host, was the biggest loser, down nearly $160,000.

While Trickett has gotten off to a slow start, he’ll likely have a few days to battle back. partypokerLIVE and PNIA will be streaming cash games for the next three days, with sessions starting around 2:30 PM local time each day.
