U.S. Poker Open Preview: The Commentators

In the buildup of last year’s Super High Roller Bowl, Poker Central rolled out 25 days of player previews to get fans ready for the biggest event of 2017. Over the next week, Poker Central will again preview a massive series, the first-ever U.S. Poker Open. The entire eight-event series will be live streamed on PokerGO and until cards get in the air on February 1, Poker Central will preview the USPO with articles surrounding the brand-new high stakes series.

During the U.S. Poker Open, nine days of high stakes tournament action will be broadcast on PokerGO. The series features a variety of events and throughout the USPO, the world’s best players will be featured on both feature table and final table streams. While it is impossible to know which players will compete on those streams, we do know that Ali Nejad and Jeremy Ausmus will be there to call the action.

For the better part of the last decade, Ali Nejad has been one of the game’s most notable and popular commentators and since last year’s Super High Roller Bowl, has been the primary voice of PokerGO broadcasts. Nejad single-handedly carries most Poker After Dark broadcasts and during last year’s Poker Masters series, he teamed up with David Williams for a week of high stakes action.

Jeremy Ausmus’ poker resume is just as lengthy as his counterpart’s broadcasting resume. Ausmus has over $5 million in live tournament earnings and is respected as one of Las Vegas’ best cash game players. The 2012 WSOP Main Event final tablist won his first WSOP bracelet in a 2013 Pot Limit Omaha event at WSOP Europe and Ausmus has multiple six-figure scores from around the globe, including a handful of High Roller results.
