Best of 2017: Bluffs

The bluff is arguably one of the most exciting and most unpredictable actions in poker. Trying to figure out when to bluff, how to bluff, and who to bluff is difficult enough. Then you need to pull the trigger and hope that your calculations were correct.

Phil Hellmuth was the victim in two featured hands, but he wasn’t the only poker legend that was put to the test this year. Jason Mercier found himself in a tough spot against Ryan Fee in the WSOP’s $10,000 Heads Up Championship and WSOP Main Event champion Scott Blumstein used a big bluff to vault himself into poker’s history books.
