The PokerGO Cup continued on Thursday from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Event #3: $10,100 No-Limit Hold’em. The record-breaking field drew 129 entries and Harvey Castro carries a slight lead over the final seven players.

Castro built his stack throughout the day, but started running hot at the end of the night and was able to approach the 2,000,000 chip mark after a blind-vs-blind confrontation saw him shove ace-deuce offsuit from the big blind over the small blind raise of Manuel Fritz. Fritz woke up with kings, but Castro was able to turn a six-high straight and double to 40 big blinds. Castro would then show down two pair to take down a multiway pot, win with a flush against Jim Collopy, and eliminate John Andress.

This is Castro's second PGT cash after finishing in second place in Poker Masters event number four last year, and it's safe to assume he'll be looking to top that result. Castro comes into the final table with 3,675,000 in chips, however, in order to earn his first PGT trophy, he'll have to fend off the likes of Brazilian phenom, Joao Simao, who earns his second cash of the series and is breathing down Castro's neck with 3,640,000, as well as, Cherish Andrews (fresh off her third-place finish in event number one) with 3,110,000, and Fritz, whose also not far behind with 3,025,000. Rounding out the final table is Daniel Sepiol (1,195,000),  Adam Hendrix (985,000), and Landon Tice (490,000).

The remaining seven players are all guaranteed at least $51,600, but everyone will be gunning for the $316,050 first-place prize and 316 PGT points.

The field of 129 entrants, a record for a $10,000 buy-in event at the PokerGO Studio, created a prize pool worth $1,290,000 and the final 19 players all got paid. Brandon Wittmeyer was the unfortunate bubble boy when his ace-five suited couldn't improve against the pocket nines of Aram Zobian, and yesterday's bubble girl, Yi Klassen, was able to avoid a repeat by finishing in 19th place. Victoria Livschitz (18th), Ed Sebesta (17th), Jesse Lonis (16th), John Andress (15th), Nguyen Le (14th), Aram Zobian (13th), Sean Winter (12th), Vlastimil Pustina (11th), Matthew Wantman (10th), Martin Carnero (9th), and Collopy (8th) all finished in the money.

The night ended when Collopy broke the final table bubble by running his pocket nines into the pocket kings of Fritz. The seven remaining players then bagged to return for the streamed final table.
