The 2020 World Series of Poker Online kicked off the start of the week with Event #20: $500 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Handed attracting a 1,137-entrant field that created a $511,650 prize pool. After 13 hours of play, it would be Ohio-native and Las Vegas resident Kevin “TheRealKG” Gerhart winning his second WSOP bracelet and the $97,572 first-place prize.
The 2020 World Series of Poker Online bracelet event final tables are streamed live nightly on the Poker Central YouTube channel, PokerGO Facebook page and World Series of Poker Twitch channel. Commentary is provided by David Tuchman. Skip ahead to the action and watch both final tables in the embedded players below.
Event #19 fifth-place finisher Kenneth “KBconcepts” Phillips was eliminated on the money bubble in 151st place before WSOP bracelet winners Nipun “Javatini” Java, Ryan “Protential” Laplante, Upeshka “gomezhamburg” De Silva, David “Twizzlers” Prociak, Ari “PhilIvey” Engel, Joey “yeezy4pres” Couden, Ben “WhyIsGamora” Yu, Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth, Yueqi “anoob” Zhu, Michael “miw210x” Wang, David “SolidCrusher” Brookshire, Brandon “pretty_noose” Shack-Harris, Anthony “nowb3athat” Spinella, Ryan “bitc0in” Riess, Event #12 winner Ryan “Joeyisamush” Depaulo, Max “MaxSparrow” Pescatori, Shaun “ddtgg” Deeb, and Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu all fell before the final table.
Appearing at his second WSOP final table, Gerhart entered as the chip leader and immediately eliminated Shanmukha “Shanmukha” Meruga in sixth place after turning two pair. Adam “AdamJ080584” Jones ran into the trips of Cody “Duckmoney420” Brinn before Chris “Robotbob47” Moorman was eliminated in fourth place. Moorman was all in with a gutshot straight draw against Gerhart’s two pair, and when the board bricked out, Moorman was left a few places shy of a second WSOP bracelet.
New Jersey’s Jenny “Mobey” Svancara found herself exiting in third place for her sixth cash of the series when her flopped two pair was outdrawn by Gerhart’s bigger two pair on the turn. Gerhart entered heads-up play holding a slight chip lead with Brinn. Brinn found a double into the lead, before Gerhart responded with a double of his own. On the final hand in a three-bet pot, Brinn would commit his final chips holding a pair and a gutshot as Gerhart called with his wrap. Gerhart immediately spiked his straight on the turn, and although Brinn added a flush draw to go along with his gutshot, the river blanked out and he was eliminated in second as Gerhart was crowned the Event #20 champion.
