Sam Soverel Leads Final 13 of PokerStars NAPT Las Vegas $10K High Roller
Stephen Chidwick is the new top-ranked player on the PGT leaderboard. Chidwick finished in third place in Event #2: $30,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed at Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus to move into the top spot. The result pushed Chidwick to 2,920 points.
Chidwick finished third for $408,000 in the event, finishing behind runner-up Yuri Dzivielevski and winner Ben Tollerene. Chidwick earned 245 PokerGO Tour leaderboard points. Before the third-place finish that pushed him into the top spot on the leaderboard, Chidwick was in third behind Jake Schindler and Phil Ivey.
Overall, Chidwick now has $5,694,276 in winnings from PGT-qualifying events. Those winnings come from four victories and 23 total cashes.
Below Chidwick, Michael Duek, who placed third in the 2022 WSOP Main Event, sits fifth on the PGT leaderboard. Espen Jorstad, winner of the 2022 WSOP Main Event, is seventh. Duek has 2,294 points and Jorstad has 2,137.

At the end of the 2022 PGT season, the 2022 PGT Championship will take place at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. The top 21 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard will square off in an invite-only freeroll to crown the 2022 PGT champion. The 2022 PGT Championship will award a winner-take-all $500,000 top prize. Players' starting stacks will be determined by the number of points earned during the regular season.
There are still a handful of events set to run at Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus, and then PGT action turns it attention to Las Vegas. The Stairway To Millions series starts Thursday, September 8, at The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas and the final four events of the series are PGT-qualifying events. After that, it's the 2022 Poker Masters and the fight for the Purple Jacket from September 21 through October 2.
