Season 7 of Poker After Dark opens in THE VAULT on PokerGO today with a $100,000 Sit-n-Go. This episode is the first of the many to be filmed at ARIA, the current home for Poker After Dark. It’s fitting that this show is also the highest stakes Sit-n-Go to be played and has Phil Ivey in the driver’s seat. “The Big Heat” features one of the best lineups in the show’s history.
Ivey was absent for the entirety of Season 6 and makes his return to open Season 7 at the property that bears his name on their high stakes poker room. The Ivey Room is ARIA’s answer to Bellagio’s famed Bobby’s Room. To learn more about the cathedral of high stakes poker, check out the Bobby’s Room episode of Stories from the Felt.
Another Bobby’s Room favorite who makes his long-awaited return is Huck Seed. The former World Series of Poker Main Event champion is also famed for his prop bet exploits. Seed is back to his usual self in his first Poker After Dark appearance since Season 4. There’s already $600,000 on the line and Seed does his part to put more at stake during the episode.
Tom Dwan and Phil Galfond are part of the new age of Poker After Dark and are in action during this episode. Both appeared in “PLOMG” week in 2017. That episode isn’t the first to feature “the great game” on Poker After Dark. Dwan and Galfond set the stage for four-card drama in Season 7. That episode is soon to be released on PokerGO.
Erick Lindgren and John Juanda fill in the last two seats in the game. Somehow a Poker Hall of Fame member and one of the best players of his generation are supporting players in this episode. That’s how loaded the table is.
