(Las Vegas – February 26, 2018) – Poker Central®, the ultimate destination for fans of poker tournaments, cash games and lifestyle away from the tables, announced the 2018 registration date of the Super High Roller Bowl, its premier tournament of the year. Registration opens Thursday, March 1 for the annual high stakes No Limit Hold’em poker tournament, which will take place at ARIA Resort & Casino May 27 – 30.
There will be 48 seats available in the tournament. The buy-in is $300,000, with a non-refundable deposit of $30,000. The total prize pool is expected to exceed $14 million with the first-place winner slated to receive an estimated $5,000,000. The tournament is an open event and does not require an invitation to participate. The Super High Roller Bowl is a no-rake event.
“The Super High Roller Bowl is the world championship of high stakes tournament poker,” said Sam Simmons, vice president of content at Poker Central. “We sold out in seven hours last year, so players will need to get their deposits in quickly. We look forward to bringing together poker’s biggest stars.”
ARIA will reserve 18 seats for VIP guest entrants. If there are more than 48 players who register for the event, a lottery will be held to determine the final player list. The 2017 edition brought the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari and Phil Hellmuth to the tables – along with the 2017 top finisher, Christoph Vogelsang, who took home a whopping $6,000,000.
Sean McCormack, director of poker operations at ARIA said, “The Super High Roller Bowl consistently delivers both an elite level of competition and a unique excitement that only high-stakes poker provides. Last year’s event was one for the record books and this year will be no exception – we can’t wait to kick off one of the biggest tournaments of the year.”
The event is set to stream on PokerGO, Poker Central’s live streaming video subscription service. In addition to PokerGO’s coverage, NBC Sports Network will feature Super High Roller Bowl episodes on both NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. For additional information please visit www.SuperHighRoller.com.
